You will be working to advise companies at the cutting edge of their fields. Our clients, which range from multi-national corporations to start-ups, provide an excellent opportunity for a varied and commercially important caseload. Particular areas of strength are in analytical chemistry, batteries, materials and medical devices. We are therefore looking for an ‘all-rounder’ with a strong chemistry background who can turn their hand to a broad range of subject matter.
Your training will cover all aspects of patents including drafting, prosecution, opinions and contentious work before the European and UK Patent Offices.

We are a progressive firm with a knowledge-sharing culture and place a strong emphasis on professional development. We provide hands-on training on live cases from day one, where you will be able to make a real impact. We have an in-house package of training seminars and will pay for you to attend courses run by top external providers to help get you through the UK and European qualifying exams.

We have adopted a hybrid-working approach, so there will be opportunities for remote working, as well as from our offices. We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage applicants from backgrounds which are under-represented in the UK patent sector. We are committed to creating a work environment where everybody feels welcome and included and can enjoy a good work-life balance as well as the opportunities to excel.
