Sapna joined Cleveland Scott York in June 2019. She assists in patent matters including preparing and filing patent applications and prosecution before the UK and European Patent Offices. Sapna began studying to qualify as a UK Patent Attorney in 2019.
Sapna entered patent profession in 2010 and gained 8 years’ experience at various Indian patent law firms, before moving to UK in 2018. She has previously worked at one of the largest patent Indian firms ‘Remfry & Sagar’, and the litigation firm ‘Perfexio legal’ amongst others. Sapna dealt with the prosecution of patent applications for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical inventions. She also provided opinions on issues of patentability, assisted in pre- and post-grant oppositions before the Indian Patent Office. Additionally, she has also participated in complex litigation matters including those involving compulsory licensing.
