A leading intellectual property law firm with a presence in St Albans is in contention for a pair of prestigious awards.
Cleveland Scott York has been named as a finalist in the Best International Trade and the Best Legal and Financial Services Provider categories at the Biz4Biz Awards 2018.
The awards recognise the very best achievements of Hertfordshire’s business community.
The rigorous judging process for the awards has already seen nominated firms put to an online vote, before representatives of the most successful firms at this stage were called to present in front of an impartial judging panel.
Cleveland Scott York advises businesses and other organisations in the UK and around the world on how to best protect their intellectual property, whether through patents, trade marks or design rights, facilitating a considerable volume of international trade in the process.
Andrew Mackenzie, a Partner and Chartered Patent Attorney at Cleveland Scott York, said: “At Cleveland Scott York, we are keen to increase awareness amongst the business community of intellectual property as a way of encouraging and protecting investments in new products and of generating new revenue streams.
It is therefore wonderful to have received this recognition from the judges, which we hope will further raise awareness of the commercial and economic importance of intellectual property protection.
All of us here at Cleveland Scott York are now looking forward to finding out next month whether we will be named as the overall winners.”
The winners of the Biz4Biz Awards are set to be announced at a glittering ceremony at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel in Welwyn on Friday 2nd March 2018.
