Michael helps his clients protect their inventions in Europe and around the world.

Michael has many years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and has particular experience in oral proceedings, oppositions and appeals at the European Patent Office. He also advises on infringement and validity of third party patents. Before entering the patent profession Michael was an examiner at the European Patent Office.

Michael’s technical background is as an electrical engineer, and his practice encompasses the fields of electronics, telecommunications, software, and electrical machines, as well as general mechanical inventions. A key area of activity is the software field, where he has successfully prosecuted patent applications through to grant, and defended the patents in subsequent opposition proceedings.
