Nick is a Patent Attorney working in the fields of chemistry, mechanical inventions and medical devices.

The core of Nick’s practice is patent drafting and prosecution before the European and UK Patent Offices. However, a substantial portion of his work is in Oppositions and Appeals before the European Patent Office. He also provides freedom to operate and infringement opinions, IP due diligence and analysis of competitor’s patents.

He enjoys being engaged with the wider commercial picture, as well as the detail. This enables him to give proactive advice throughout prosecution and opposition.

During his studies he researched the laser induced dissociation of ozone molecules. This background in physical chemistry gives him an excellent understanding of the fundamental science behind a wide range of technologies.

He spent time based with a firm in Los Angeles during 2016/2017, which gave him some valuable insights into US practice.
